The Margery Aber Independent Learner Scholarship recognizes students who exemplify Margery's philosophy of each student developing the skills necessary to be a life-long learner. The scholarship recognizes Suzuki students over age 12 who demonstrate excellence in applying Suzuki principles to their daily life and musical practice.

The American Suzuki Foundation Scholarship Committee is excited to learn more about your Suzuki musical journey and accomplishments. We invite you to apply for a merit-based scholarship by following these steps. Also be sure to read additional timeline and award information below.
Scholarship interviews: The scholarship committee will review all applications and invite up to five candidates to attend a virtual interview. Virtual interview dates will be announced shortly after the application round closes. If selected for an interview, you will receive an invitation via email approximately one week after the scholarship round closes from American Suzuki Foundation Board President, Lauri Martin Keefe, lauri@americansuzukifoundation.org. Please reach out to lynn@americansuzukifoundation.org if accommodations are needed.
Finalists will be selected by the Scholarship Committee and invited for an interview.
Interviews with the ASF Scholarship Committee are conducted.
Winners will be contacted by the ASF Scholarship Committee by the second Friday in March.

Upon award: A student that receives the Margery Aber Independent Learner Scholarship will be asked for their picture and a brief statement of the impact the award will have on their studies. This information could be used to promote the Aber Suzuki Center and the support provided by the American Suzuki Foundation.
