The Margery Aber Independent Learner Scholarship recognizes students who exemplify Margery's philosophy of each student developing the skills necessary to be a life-long learner. The scholarship recognizes Suzuki students over age 12 who demonstrate excellence in applying Suzuki principles to their daily life and musical practice.

The American Suzuki Foundation Scholarship Committee is excited to learn more about your Suzuki musical journey and accomplishments. We invite you to apply for a merit-based scholarship by following these steps. Also be sure to read additional timeline and award information below.
Application Process:
Click to complete your music resume. Use this to highlight your Suzuki career and demonstrate how music positively impacts you and/or your family.
Upload your musical resume to the application no later than March 11, 2024.
In a three minute or shorter video, answer the following question: “How do I use what I learn studying music at the Aber Suzuki Center when I face challenges at school or home?”
March 11, 2024: Student completes and submits application, including the musical resume and video link.
Finalists will be selected by the Scholarship Committee.
Winners will be contacted by the ASF Scholarship Committee by the fourth Friday in March.
Festival Concert and formal announcement of Scholarship Winners.
Upon award: A student that receives the Margery Aber Independent Learner Scholarship will be asked for their picture and a brief statement of the impact the award will have on their studies. This information could be used to promote the Aber Suzuki Center and the support provided by the American Suzuki Foundation.
