Congratulations, Lucia Stephani!

Awarded with the Margery Aber Independent Learner Scholarship

"I am very grateful and thrilled to be a recipient of the Merit Scholarship for the Aber Suzuki Center. Making music for oneself is satisfying but I was always taught that music should be shared with others. I encourage the ASC musicians and singers to reach out to others and to share music.

There are so many opportunities and so many ways to share with others and with the community. Thank you to the American Suzuki Foundation and to the ASC staff for acknowledging my musical outreach to the community and for choosing me for a merit scholarship."

Congratulations, Brandon Whalley!

Awarded with the Margery Aber Independent Learner Scholarship

"Thank you very much for awarding me the Suzuki Foundation Merit Scholarship! I have been taking Suzuki piano lessons since I was in second grade and it is just a part of my everyday life. It has helped teach me many things including self-discipline and time management skills; in this respect it helped me learn how to be proactive long before I ever 'needed' to be. Suzuki is a very important part of my life as it is a skill that I am learning in addition to being creative."
