The Earl and Alvina Aber Family Scholarship seeks to recognize families who demonstrate excellence in applying Suzuki principles to their family life and musical practice. Aber Suzuki families having one currently enrolled Aber student 12 years of age or younger are encouraged to apply.

The American Suzuki Foundation Scholarship Committee is excited to learn more about your Suzuki musical journey and accomplishments. We invite you to apply for a merit-based scholarship by following these steps. Also be sure to read additional timeline and award information below.
Scholarship Interviews: The scholarship committee will review all applications and invite up to four families to attend a virtual interview. Virtual Interview dates will be announced shortly after the application round closes. If selected for an interview, you will receive an invitation via email approximately a week after the scholarship round closes from American Suzuki Foundation Board President, Heidi O'Brien, heidi@americansuzukifoundation.org.
Timeline: April 14, 2021: Student completes and submits application and musical resume to lynn@americansuzukifoundation.org. Week of April 19, 2021: Finalists selected by the Scholarship Committee and invited for an interview. Week of April 26, 2021: Interviews with the ASF Scholarship Committee. Beginning of May: Winners are selected and contacted by the ASF Scholarship Committee.
Upon Award A family that receives the Earle and Alvina Aber Family Scholarship will be asked for a family picture and a brief statement of the impact the award will have on the family’s musical studies. This information could be used to promote the Aber Suzuki Center and the support provided by the American Suzuki Foundation.
