The Earl and Alvina Aber Family Scholarship seeks to recognize families who demonstrate excellence in applying Suzuki principles to their family life and musical practice. Aber Suzuki families having one currently enrolled Aber student 12 years of age or younger are encouraged to apply.

The American Suzuki Foundation Scholarship Committee is excited to learn more about your Suzuki musical journey and accomplishments. We invite you to apply for a merit-based scholarship by following these steps. Also be sure to read additional timeline and award information below.
Application Process: 1. This year’s theme: How Suzuki Enhances My Life!
2. Have your student submit a color poster responding to the theme above. The poster should be drawn on an 8 x 11 piece of white card stock with markers or paint. (No charcoal, pastels or pencils, please.)
3. Upload a photo of the poster to the application and submit the original poster to the Aber Suzuki Center office no later than March 11, 2024.
4. Family creates a three minute or shorter video highlighting how your family and Suzuki student demonstrate the Suzuki philosophy in your musical studies and family. Also describe how you share music with others. Upload your video to YouTube as an unlisted “not for children” video. Include the link to the video on the Google application form.

Finalists selected by the Scholarship Committee.
Winners will be contacted by ASF Scholarship Committee by the fourth Friday in March.
Festival Concert and formal announcement of scholarship winners.
Upon Award A family that receives the Earle and Alvina Aber Family Scholarship will be asked for a family picture and a brief statement of the impact the award will have on the family’s musical studies. This information could be used to promote the Aber Suzuki Center and the support provided by the American Suzuki Foundation.
