The Earl and Alvina Aber Family Scholarship seeks to recognize families who demonstrate excellence in applying Suzuki principles to their family life and musical practice. Aber Suzuki families having one currently enrolled Aber student 12 years of age or younger are encouraged to apply.

The American Suzuki Foundation Scholarship Committee is excited to learn more about your Suzuki musical journey and accomplishments. We invite you to apply for a merit-based scholarship by following these steps. Also be sure to read additional timeline and award information below.
This year's theme: What does music do for your life?
Highlight how your family and Suzuki student demonstrate Suzuki philosophy in your musical studies and family life.
Demonstrate to the Scholarship Committee how you share music with others.
Demonstrate how music positively impacts you and/or your family. (Note: It is expected that the parents will complete the musical resume with input from their young learner.)
3. Have your student submit a color poster responding to the theme "What does music do for your life?" The poster should be drawn on an 8 x 11 piece of white card stock with markers or paint. (No charcoal, pastels or pencils, please.)
4. Submit the poster to the Aber Suzuki Center office no later than March 13, 2023.
5. Email your musical resume to lynn@americansuzukifoundation.org no later than March 13, 2023. No applications will be received after this date.
Winners will be contacted by ASF Scholarship Committee by the second Friday in March.

Upon Award A family that receives the Earle and Alvina Aber Family Scholarship will be asked for a family picture and a brief statement of the impact the award will have on the family’s musical studies. This information could be used to promote the Aber Suzuki Center and the support provided by the American Suzuki Foundation.
